Children's Advil Sample from Smiley360!!

As a member of Smiley360 I was sent a free sample of Children’s Advil for my kids to try. I have to say that it arrived at the most perfect time, the flu is going around and my daughter who is eight got it and had a fever of 102 and fussed because her whole body ached. I gave her the Children’s Advil for the fever and aches along with the flu med the Dr prescribed and I was very pleased with it. In the past I had always used another brand which resulted in my daughter screaming and not wanting to take it because it was gritty and had a bad taste so I was very willing to try the sample on her. At first she was hesitant to take it but after taking a small taste she easily gulped the rest of her doses down. She liked the grape taste and the texture which made medicine time an easy task and I loved that it was 8 hour medicine which made it easier on me and her since we weren’t having to take it every 4 hours like the previous med we used. Her fever stayed down and her body aches quickly got better. Since this was a sample we ran out fairly quickly but I had my husband pick up another bottle and will definitely be using Children’s Advil for all my kids fever needs!! I love that it is for children ages 2-11, I have three kids between the ages of 5-10 and they can all use it!

Crowdtap - Post Great Grains Cereal Taste Test

I was really excited to be chosen for the Post Great Grains Cereal Taste Test from Crowdtap!! Most of my samples are for clothing and movies not food so I was anxious to receive my package. When I got my box I received two foil packets that each contained a serving of cereal. Each packet also contained a different number on it to distinguish between the two while doing the sample. Upon reading the ingredients on the two packets I could tell that this was going to be a banana flavored cereal because they contained dried bananas which I LOVE!!! One packet was different in that it contained almonds which are my favorite nut and I eat them everyday so I decided to try this packet first, it was # 208.

As soon as I opened the packet I could smell the sweet banana smell, it reminded me of my favorite banana oatmeal so I already knew I was going to love this sample. I tried a few dry pieces just to get a taste and feel for it and was very happy with my initial taste so I proceeded to add milk and the instructions instructed me to do and I really liked what I had.  It was crunchy with large flakes, there were a real sweetness to this cereal with a distinct banana flavor to it, there were nuts and clusters of granola and if you picked one of the clusters out you could see the individual pieces that it was made of which I liked because I knew what I was eating. The flakes had that healthy look to them but not that bland healthy taste you expect with a cereal that has this appearance. I would have loved to have seen just a few more granola clusters in it but to me the cereal was great and had a great combination of flavors!! I ate the entire bowl :)

 

So now it was time to try the second packet which was #967 which the only difference it had was the almonds weren't included in the ingredients.

 

As soon as I opened this packet I could tell it was missing that sweet banana smell that packet #208 had. I already wasn't as excited about trying this cereal: it was missing the almonds that I loved in the other sample and the smell wasn't really there. I tried a few dry pieces and right off the bat I could tell it wasn't as sweet and flavorful. I proceeded to add the milk and took a couple of bites and was disappointed. Packet #208 was so good and this one was really lacking for me. It was bland, reminded me of those healthy cereals that you hear people referring to as "cardboard". There were large pieces of walnuts that I was excited about when I saw them but upon eating them I got no nutty flavor. I also think this packet had way less granola clusters than #208 which was a disappointment.

 

Of the two packets I would absolutely have to go with #208. It was sweet, flavorful, crunchy..... #967 was lacking in all these areas.

 

I was sent a paper survey that I was to fill out while doing the taste test. Once I finished both samples I was to go to a given link and fill out the same survey online and submit it with the results. It was a very simple process and I enjoyed doing it.

Crowdtap - Durex Sexplorers Pleasure Party

So once again I was chosen for another awesome party from Crowdtap!!! This one was a Durex Sexplorers Pleasure Party and you would not believe the huge box that was delivered to my door. I was so excited to have this party, I had just finished throwing an awesome Hotel Transylvania Monster Bowl party and had my Durex party scheduled for February 8 and I already had all my friends lined up to come and the flu hit. Lord it was awful. I went to the Dr on the 7^th with a confirmed case of the flu so my party had to be postponed :(

Lovely isn't it, Ha Ha!!

 

Then a couple of days later my hubby woke up feeling horrible and paid the Dr a visit and he too had the flu. I was so upset because I didn't feel good and now I had to reschedule my party.

 

 

Well we both felt like having our little shindig this past weekend and it all turned out great!!! With it being Valentine’s weekend there were a couple of people who weren’t able to make it but that’s life and sometimes we have to make due with what real life has decided to give us, the flu :)

 

I was sent goodie bags to be filled with all kinds of great treats: sex coupons, foreplay dice, Durex condoms…. and I decided rather than to have them already filled I would set up a “love buffet” and we could all talk about the products and everyone could fill their own bags. I set out platters and filled them with different condoms, set out vases with daffodils, had the bags lined up across the back of the table, had all the different products set out for everyone to see, oh and I had chocolates scattered around the table. I love how it all turned out!!

We ate way to much chocolate, giggled a bunch and had a great time with friends. I had a couple of bags and goodies left over and those were packaged up and my husband will be taking those to work with him to give to a girl I have gotten to know, who was invited but because of the date change wasn't able to make it. She was recently married and her husband is in the military and had to leave about a month after the wedding. She was really wanting all the fun Durex products for when he returned home so she is getting a bag plus s is going to give the others to somegirls she knows who re in the same situation as she is with their husbands being deployed, I know they will have fun with everything.

 

Well I got my box a few days before I got sick so me and my sweetie had a chance to try out some of the products before the party and I was able to talk about my favorite things and we have tried out a couple more since getting better. I would love to review a few for you!!

 

So I was really excited to open the box and find some larger items that I wasn't expecting :)

The Delight Vibrating Bullet has to be my favorite. It is small but the most powerful of the ones sent. We used this one first and were very pleased with it. It has a button on the smaller end that you push to turn it on and off and was easy to use right out of the box. It has a very natural feel to it which I liked, some toys just seem to fake when using them but not this one. I also like that it is waterproof so it may be finding its way into the shower soon :) Here is the description from the box: Designed to provide clitoral and all over body stimulation. Designed to provide up to 4 hours of quiverng pleasure. I was lucky enough to receive 2 of these and my best friend had never used one so I was able to pass one on to her for them to enjoy!!

Okay next is the Allure. This vibrator is a bit bigger and not as soft as the Delight but it is a fun toy. This one has multiple speeds so you can speed it up or slow it down to your liking by tuning the purple ring. This one is also water proof :)

So this is my husbands favorite,the Play Discover Intimate Massager. I am always giving him back rubs after work so it was great that we were given an item that he could enjoy as much as I enjoyed the other big items. We both loved the curved shape because it makes it so easy to glide over the body. It is also multi speed so you can get a great strong massage in the areas that you need it. We were also sent a Lover's Massage book by Darrin Zeer which had step by step instructions and diagrams of some great massages that we had never tried before. The orange bottle that is shown is Durex's Massage and Play Intensify 2 in 1 Massage Gel & Intimate Lubricant. Before this we had never used a massage gel so we were both excited to try it out. I LOVED the scent and the overall feel of it was very pleasant. The only thingwas that after rubing with it fo awhile it seemed to get a little sticky, which was fine just not what I was expecting. I was also a bit concerned about it getting all over the sheets and making a mess but it didn't and the bottle says its will not stain and it didn't.

 

Oh my goodness where do I even start on the Durex Play Vibrating Ring and the Ring of Bliss!!!! We really enjoyed these :) We have experimented with other items in the past but never a ring so we were both curious and very eager to give them a try. To start they both went on very easily and fit snug but just enough to stay on without slipping, my husband said it was never uncomfortable. I was a bit concerned that it may be to bulky between us but honestly until he turned it on I didn’t really know that it was there. Okay so we played around for a few minutes and he decided to turn it on, which was very simple to do, just a push of a button!! It was much stronger than I had anticipated, in a GREAT way, even when it wasn’t right up against me I could feel the vibration!! The vibrating part, which I said seemed a bit bulky at first, was just big enough and the right size to allow it to hit in the perfect spot for me. A feature that we both really liked was that it can be turned on and off, we had a little knock on the bedroom door from one of our kids and being able to turn it off and back on again was a nice surprise for a disposable ring. The instructions said it had a limited battery life so I was afraid that it would go dead or start running slow before we finished and it didn’t. It was running as strong at the end as it did when we first turned it on.

 

 

 

Performax Intense Condoms:

So there were mixed reactions from the Performax Intense Condoms. I personally couldn’t tell that it was “speeding me up” or “slowing him down”, our time in the bedroom seemed to be about the same as it always is. Saying that, my husband really liked these condoms. He said he felt a warm sensation from them that must have been from a lubricant inside the condom that I wasn’t feeling. Overall the performance of the condom was great. It went on easily, didn’t break, had a nice feel to it and we needed no additional lubrication while using it.

 

 

Extra Sensitive Condoms:

Ultra thin. Extra sensitive. With lubricant for heightened excitement and great sensations.

So this was our favorite out of all the condoms. It was really thin and had a great feel to it. Some of the others were a bit to thick for our taste so having one that felt as if it weren’t there was nice. It is thin but not to the point of breaking and it did hold up with no problems. I loved that this condom has more lubrication than the others. As I have gotten older I find that there are times when we have to have lubrication and with this condom we needed no additional lubrication!!

Okay just look at how cute thse are!! These are the Durex Love Box and they are little tins that hold three condoms so us girls who like to carry our own protection can discretely do so in style!!! These were a big hit, everyone was excited to pick out their own design that suited their personality.

 

So due to the flu the party didn't take place when it was suppose to and thenonce rescheduled there were some conflicts with getting guests here but it turned out to be a great afternoon talking about everyone's favorite thing SEX!!!!

Crowdtap Hotel Transylvania Monster Bowl Party!

So I was given another awesome opportunity from Crowdtap to host a party!!!! And just like the others in the past this was an awesome night. I got to host a Hotel Transylvania Monster Bowl party which combined a screening of Hotel Transylvania, lots of great food and activities and the Super Bowl. The party kit came as a digital file with recipes, activity ideas, printables…. And I was sent a digital copy of the movie.

 

Let me start by saying if you haven’t seen Hotel Transylvania you need to get it. It is a great family movie that shows that now matter how different someone is we all just want to fit in and be loved, I think this is a great moral to teach all our children. I also love that it shows just how crazy us parents can get when it comes to doing what is needed to keep our little “monsters” safe even if we go a little overboard every now and again :)

Crowdtap suggested having the party on Super Bowl Sunday which I thought was a great plan but was a bit concerned that everyone might already have plans for the big game. I called around and actually found out that just about everyone I wanted to invite could come for at least the movie and snacks and some could even hang around for the game so we had the party on the 3^rd!!. Yes I am a bit late with this posting because just a couple of days after all the fun I was hit HARD with the flu and am still not fully 100% so let’s see of we can get thru this and it make some sense, HA HA.

 I am one who LOVES to have people over and I tend to over do it sometimes and this party was no exception. I cooked and cooked and cooked and took lots of pics to share with you and I hope you will give some of these a try.

 

There was a recipe in the party pack for Scream Cheese Taco Dip. We love Mexican food  in my house so I knew that this was one to try however I did tweak it a little to suit our taste. Here is the original recipe:

 

We have been trying to eat healthier and use what is already in the pantry since the New Year so I did make a few changes to the way I made the dip and it turned out so YUMMY, here's what I did:

1 (8oz) pkg cream cheese

1 (8oz) carton sour cream

1 can refried beans

1/2 pkg fajita seasoning mix

1 cup mexican shredded cheese

Follow the baking instructions.

Ready to go into the oven

Look at this!!! All the cheese has melted and it is ready to take out

Here I am making some fun sugar cookies:

These were made the night before and I didn't realize that my kids and my daughters bestie would eat ALL of them that night so I made chocolate chip cookies for the party!

 

My kids requested a couple of snacks for them and their friends so I made some chocolate cupcakes and topped them with Halloween and Football rings and served them on a football platter, everyone got a kick out of the combined theme:

 

 

I also made Striped Delight for the kids, it is so fattening and so good!!

I love this dessert because it is so easy to make and I love putting them into individual containers that the kids can just grab and eat.

Here's the recipe:

35 OREO Cookies

6 Tbsp. butter, melted

1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

2 Tbsp. cold milk

1 tub (12 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed, divided

2 pkg. (3.9 oz. each) JELL-O Chocolate Instant Pudding

3-1/4 cups cold milk

In a bowl mix together the softened cream cheese, whip cream and milk

In a seperate bowl crumble the cookies and pour in the melted butter, mix together until well incorporated.

Fill the bottom of individual cups or a dish with the oreo butter mixture

Next layer the cream cheese mixture on top of the oreos

Mix together the pudding mix and milk

Pour the pudding on as the last layer

This is what it will look like. Just pop into the fridge to set up, so yummy!

Like I said the movie came as a digital file to be watched over the computer, we tried to plug the computer up to the tv to watch it that way but it didn't work. My girls had friends over and my son had his best friend here and I knew that having so many people squeezed around one laptop wouldn't work so we set up multiple computers with the movie running and it worked great.

 

 

We even got a sneak peek at the new short film, GOODNIGHT MR. FOOT, which the kids are all huddled up here watching and they loved it!! I only played this on one computer so everyone is packed in like sardines here :)

 

 

Crowdtap introduced me to a new app thru this party and it turned out to be a huge hit. It is called GoldRun and it allows you to take a pic with celebrities and believe me when I say the kids big and small really enjoyed it.

Even Beyonce took a break during half time of the Super Bowl to dance with the Hotel T cast :) This was actually one of the activities we got to do as part of this party.

 

Like I mentioned earlier there were some fun printables included so I had all the kids color a valentines card and decorate it for the winner and this one of Dracula was the best, glitter and all!!

 

 

We were given a few questions to think about and I wanted to sharet hem with you guys:



1. Mavis makes the cutest little sad bat face to her dad Dracula. Does your little one have a look that

just makes you want to do whatever they say? Are there other moments in HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA

that were directly relatable to your life?

 

Oh this is a good one. My youngest daughter Addie has this pout that I absolutely love and I can't help but give into her when she does it. We call it part of her Addie-tude. She has done it from the time she was first coming into her own personality and still does today at five.

You know I really related to this movie in relation to my own life. I am the mom of three kids and have gone to crazy lenghts to keep my kids safe. Two of my three have severe food allergies and I alone fought the school system to redo their nut policy in order to keep my kids in a healthy environment. Yes they were embarrased, yes my husband thought I went to far, yes I was talked about but I really didn't care, they are my kids to keep safe. We also recently moved to a new city and my kids were the "new kids". We talked about how they may get treated in the beginning and that they just needed to push forward and let others get to know them. Seven months down the road they all have wonderful new friends and I make sure they treat the "new kids" that come in the same way they wanted to be treated when they first moved to town.

2. Dracula throws an awesome 118th birthday party for Mavis. Were there elements of her party that you

wish you could have for your own birthday party or your child’s party? Would you love a monster band,

dancing mummies or a travel around the world theme?

 

I have to say that all the dancing was my favorite. I would have loved to have had a huge dance party when I was younger and I can see that being something that my girls would love. My most favorite thing though, as simple as it is, is that she had so many "people" there celebrating with her. I always throw parties for my kids, usually at home, and what always gets them excited more than anything else is when our family from out of town surprises them at the party!!

3. Both Mavis & Dracula have some awesome vampire powers. For example, they can both turn into bats.

Which one of their powers do you wish you could have? Or is there another monster FROM THE

FILM who has a power you wish you could have?

 

I actually wish I had the powers of Griffin, not that they are so much powers, but the opportunity to be invisible and watch my kids without them knowing would be awesome. I remember being a tween and teen and having the chance to keep an eye on them without them finding out would be priceless :)

 

Also having the sniffing powers of the werewolves would be pretty neat. I would love to have the kids walk by, give a good sniff and be able to tell them everything they did, HA HA, that would keep them in line!!

So we had an awesome time, thanks to Crowdtap and Hotel Transylvania!!! Not everyone was able to stay the entire time due to other Super Bowl commitments but thanks to everyone who came, had a great time watching the movie, eating and then cheering on our teams.
